Re: Vet Tackle available
Too funny....I was searching depth charts to find a name to throw out in X-Era's thread and came across Stinchcomb and quickly passed him over with a healthy 'Nahhhh....never happen".
Would really like to see them take a shot at the guy. Even if they don't, he probably won't be the last T made available in the next couple of weeks.YardRat Wall of Fame

Re: Vet Tackle available
I think there will be a few players that shake free at the end of the month durign final cutdowns. Teams wont' want to guarantee big salaries to vets who they aren't sure will earn it anymore, so they may cut them and hope to re-sign them after week 1 when it isn't guaranteed.
Also, teams need extra cap room at the end of the month when all players must be accounted for. During the offseason, the Top-51 salary rule is in place. Teams tight against the cap will have to make room for their 52nd and 53rd player salaries, as well as operating room to make moves when injuries happen. Most teams need about $2M in space to make it through the season.Last edited by Ickybaluky; 08-15-2011, 08:53 PM.
