Vick could have been a Bill...

Michael Vick credits the Eagles for making him a better quarterback. But he was not convinced from the start that Philly was the best place for him to resume his football career after nearly two years in federal prison, he tells GQ Magazine.

In an interview, the Eagles quarterback said the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills initially seemed like better options. Those teams wanted him and might have made him their starting quarterback, while the Eagles, at the time, already had an established veteran starter in Donovan McNabb and a starter-in-waiting in Kevin Kolb.

I am not a big Vick supporter but I cant lie, it would be nice to have a QB like him..

If he had come to Buffalo, he wouldn't have "been like him," for lack of better phrase. He was awful his first year and credited Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb for his development. Can't believe Jauron and Edwards/Fitzpatrick would have helped him much at all.

You might be right. But I'd still rather have him than not.

lol. Who would teach him to be a QB, Jauron? Dick wanted his qb's to stay in the pocket.

I never in my life saw more of a charlatan as a head coach than Dick Jauron. its like he went to a hollywood film studio and said teach me how to dress and look like a coach. Had to get that off my chest, I still hate what the guy did here.

if we had vick, we would be ready to pass on QB in this year's draft because we have a name player. it is what it is.

Vick to TO would have been interesting to see. I have a tough time thinking that Jauron could screw two gamechangers. but he's done worse, so who knkows.

Omg... This might hit me harder than it does the rest of you.. but if we had a chance to put Vick and TO on the same field (ours), and it was not afforded to us, I just can't believe it. These are two of the most dynamic players in the modern era.

You seen the way our fans can rally around a star (flutie flakes anyone?). This could have changed the face of the org.

I mean, look at the way Philly's attracting FAs these days, how they're the 1st/2nd favorite to play in the Bowl this year.

This would rank up there with the 08' 5-1 collapse, the Spikes tendon injury, the Dallas and Steelers losses in terms of most disappointing turnouts of the decade.

I still think all of this is a bunch of BS

AND I'm extremely glad he is not and never will be a Bill

Fixed. (although I don't necessarily disagree with you)
