That's great news to hear actually.
I'd say lock up Wood, maybe mid-season Merriman if he's back to his old self.... I'm not sure how long Dwan Edwards has left but I'd like to see him stick around. So for me, Wood, Edwards, probably Scott and Wilson... but definitley good to see Stevie, Kyle and Fitzy will be sticking around hopefully.Bye Bye Brady...

Re: After Williams, Stevie and Fitz next up?
Originally posted by djjimkellya long term agreement with fitzpatrick would be very premature at this point
and a massive mistake
i have nothing against him but he has proved absolutely nothing to me yet
id love to see him rock it out however he deserves nothing yet
Lol I'm joking with you man, but I can agree with that. IF they can lock him up for a decent contract that is moreover backup or mentor money, I'd be ok with that, but if he wants starter money, that'd be premature, but I think the FO may actually be that smart...Bye Bye Brady...

Re: After Williams, Stevie and Fitz next up?
Fine by me, that's exactly what I was expecting.
I'm sure Fitzpatrick is in their plans purely as a backup for the future. If he gets an extension, I'm betting it will be front-loaded, which works out fine. He'll probably get paid a decent amount the next couple of seasons (since he'll be the expected starter while our QB-of-the-future is developed), then pay will drop when he becomes the backup."Misguided political correctness tethers our intellects."
