In the wake of the new collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFL Players Association, Schumer wanted to make sure it wouldn't hurt a small market team like Buffalo. Schumer went right to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for an answer. The two talked about a week ago.
Schumer said he came away from the conversation convinced the near CBA will help the Bills on two fronts. First, the revenue sharing provision that allocates funds from large market teams like the Dallas Cowboys to small market teams like the Bills will remain in place.
Secondly, the provision remains in effect for the next 10 years.
"That's all good news for keeping the Bills in Buffalo," Schumer said.
