With Brad smith in the line up, I doubt we do anything with Pryor

Why would we draft Pryor to just throw him on the practice squad? Makes no sense.

          1. I dont believe Schefter on much draft stuff, he's very good as an insider, but his draft info has been hit and miss.

          2. Yesterday (if you follow me, hint, hint) you would of seen who the confirmed teams are with interest in Pryor per Rob Rang of CBS Sports and NFL Draft Scout. The Bills were not listed in that group.

I think Buffalo could have interest but at this time I dont believe Schefter is correct in thinking Buffalo is one of the top suitors. I know Miami is interested and I know of at least one other team who is high on him.

with a 7th round selection he might be worth the roll of the dice... to be groomed on the PS and compete in 2012 for a backup spot

I want to remind some of you to put a guy on the PS he has to first be made available to every team. So why burn a draft pick on a guy and risk possibly losing him just days after taking him?

Imo you take any player he goes on the 53 man roster, in Pryor's case he would almost never be active, but you don't try and sneak him onto the PS.

man, we haven't gotten any better but we are in the news a lot these days between merriman, housh, pryor, etc.

maybe one day we'll be in the news because we just win games.

Exactly. But then we'd be carrying 4 QBs on the 53 man roster.

question about the sup draft in general...

if the guys eligable for it dont get taken, do they go into the UDFA pool, or do they just have to wait till next years draft?

They become free agents and can sign with any team.

                        Didnt see the ESPN clip.

Was Schefter just speculating or did he actually hear this from reliable sources? I know both ESPN and NFL Network sometimes just inquire with Schefter his opinions on certain things and was wondering if this was the case this time as well?

Technically 3 QB's, I refuse to consider Brad Smith an actual QB.

This kind of speculation is garbage. You look down the list of teams that need QB's and pick the first 2 on the list. I doubt he has any inside info on this.

Pryor is a project that is a long shot to make it as a starting NFL QB. He makes Cam Newton look like Tom Brady accuracy wise but he does have size and athletism. I'm not sure he gets selected before the 6th round.

Pryor as a 5th, 6th, or 7th round pick, if he's willing to work as a wide receiver, wouldn't be a terrible risk --- assuming he'd be willing to switch positions. I don't think at this point, he wants to do that.
He's tall, athletic and really fast. It's a longshot -- but you need to get lucky with a 5,6, or 7.
