Hey Buddy...Bring Bryant McKinnie to Buffalo!

I know that he has motivation issues or whatever, but he's gotta be better than seeing Demetrius Bell get *****slapped by Elvis Dumervil all game long. Plus if he came to Buffalo, that would make it so Bell could go at RT where he would probably flourish! And then Erik Pears can take a seat on the bench, where he belongs!

Besides...the Bills had a chance to get him before and drafted Mike "Bust" Williams. Now they can finally get the guy that so many people preferred!

    ---------------------------------------------------------

This is mainly getting brought up because apparently Nick Barnett is trying to recruit him to Buffalo.... Oh, plus I'm sick of seeing our crappy OTs!

They can fix the mistake they made nine years ago by doing this.

Meh. An expense that won't work that'll make Ralph gun shy again.

I love how we now have more popular players like Barnett and Meriman recruiting for us.

Unfortunately, I think that is probably the biggest reasons moves like this aren't happening. Ralph is going to have 53 bodies come opening day and why pay a few million more for a legit starter who may or may not help when you already have someone playing for the minimum?

"The player rep for free agent LT Bryant McKinnie has emailed all 32 teams notifying them that McKinnie can be had for a one-year, $2.5 million contract.
"Free agent Bryant McKinnie would be willing to sign a one-year contract for $2,500,000 plus reasonable incentives," wrote Drew Rosenhaus. "Please let me know if you have an interest." McKinnie was so fat and his cholesterol so high at Vikings training camp that team doctors believed he would've been a severe medical risk to even let practice. He should get looks when he's fit. They might have already made an offer:

Drew Rosenhaus told Sports Xtra Bryant McKinnie is training with Pete Bommarito and is down to 365 pounds. Playing weight is 355.

Rosenhaus said McKinnie has received NFL offers but they've turned them down. "He's got a value we haven't gotten yet," Rosenhaus said.
Rosenhaus could also be trying to drive the price up, too...

He was close to 400 pounds when the Vikings, a team that already had a player die in training camp, decided they didn't want the risk of him practicing under contract. If he's in shape sure. But if he's still where he was, no way.

i don't care how overweight he is. bring him in, sign him, and get him on a diet.
