Calling it now, this was a mistake by BMN... I'm thinking someone would have taken her at the $47k...

That being said, I'll bid $21,500.

Just because she gets that much in an auction, doesn't me she would have in a private sale. Everybody gets competitive in an auction and drives the price up substantially. I had a specific reason for getting rid of her and I'm confident I made the right choice.

I'm gonna make Historian's day.

How they hell are you bidding with no money left? I'm calling foul on this.

Mike, you should update the lists a little, maybe a spreadsheet that is a little easier to read. Or get some help, I'm thinking BLeonard would be willing, since he seems to know what everybody has left in their caps.

True, but curious that you wouldn't even try to unload her without taking the $10k cap hit and 2 day no-bidding penalty...

Out of curiosity, the rules say 2 days for bidding, now, does today count? or, can he bid on Lawless (and any potential flash auction) with his 2 day "suspension" being on Tuesday and Wednesday? Might wanna clarify this...

BTW: I'll bid $24,500

I assume he'd drop Rosie into a FA auction if he won... He'd almost have to... Either that, or he's just trying to catch people off guard and jack the price up.

Who says I don't already have a spreadsheet?

I don't know, but today better count since I sent the pm last Wednesday.

In that instance, I would agree, today should count...

I'm just wondering in the following instance: Say someone close to the cap sees someone they REALLY WANT up for auction, so they dump a card, in order to bid on today's card... Would that be allowed?

On the other side, say someone sells a card back after the day's auction has ended... Obviously, the auction that just ended shouldn't count, since they didn't sell the card back until after the auction was over...

I'm thinking, the fairest way would be to make the penalty be the two days after the card is sold back. The rule states "The seller will be in-eligible for the next two days of auctions." Yes, this means someone could potentially sell a card now and bid on today's auction(s), but, if you do it any other way, I'm thinking you'd have to track the time the sell back PM was sent, which would be too much work, IMO.

Like I said, just would be good to clarify, before someone tries to use some sort of loophole.

IMO, you shouldn't be allowed to bid more than you have left. Dumping a girl requires 2 days worth of waiting.

Maybe there should be a penalty for bidding what you don't really have - causing confusion and causing Bedard extra work...

Yeah, might be good to get a ruling on this as well...

I'd about bet that TD was jacking the price up with his bid, being 99.99% sure his bid wouldn't hold...

He bids again, I'd suggest everyone refrain from bidding and dump it on him...

A) Finally I get to participate in an auction :D

B) I'd bet my last zonebuck Bill does have a spreadsheet already. When it comes to numbers, he's very thorough and meticulous.

Yeah, but you know how safe of a bet that is, since you know me from GLB and are aware of my OCD when it comes to number crunching... So, it's not a fair bet... :busted:

I asked this a while back, but what about the option of horizontal cards? Seems like, in some instances, it might help, especially if it's hard to find a good pic that is vertical...

Dunno if it'd help, but here's the above pic in color and a bit bigger: http://gallery.ncv.ru/data/media/7/cristina_scabbia2.jpg

Anything is possible. But I see no reason for horizontal cards. I like the streamline look of the transaction thread. It's a rare occurrence that we need horizontal anyway
