Quarterback Jake Delhomme knew he wasn't going to get a new offense down pat overnight after signing with Carolina as an unrestricted free agent from New Orleans on March 7. He just wants to have it down by the time training camp starts.
With summer school behind him, the five-year veteran has headed back home to Breaux Bridge, LA, to bury himself in the playbook one last time before the Panthers first training camp practice on July 26 at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC.
