It is unclear how the injury occurred or whether Dareus will be available for the team’s third preseason game Saturday against Jacksonville.

I don't care if he misses Saturday's game. He just better be ready for week 1.

Ugh. Crutches are never good. Let's hope he heals fast.

Hahaha...

I'm numb to it at this point. I expect everything to wrong anyway, so when something does, it's not a huge deal.

Better put him IR... Probably has incentives in his contract...

If its just wrapped with no air cast or walking boot im not concerned...Probably rolled it or slight sprain...Hell ive seen enough from him, let him sit til opening day...

Crutches aren't necessarily much of an indicator as to the severity of the injury. It's just more necessary for 340-pound guys. Hoping not a high-ankle sprain.

The real indicator of severity is that he plays for the Bills. Two-month injury, at least.

Crutches are a lot better than putting weight on an injured ankle.

Might be a blessing in disguise if he's still going to be ok for the start of the season.

Means we will not be showing much of our hand at all on D.

Probably, and hopefully, right.

Hopefully mostly precaution.

The only thing that would make this better is that if there were a couple holes in the umbrella and bird crap dripping off of it.

Oh well, we'll just plug Ruvell Martin in while Dareus is rehabbing.

Ruvell is too expensive of an option to replace Dareus. Ralph and Buddy are desperately hunting down Tim Anderson's and Leif Larsen's numbers as we speak.

As long as he's OK for the opener.

When you have 10 or less NFL caliber players on your roster and one gets hurt it's bound to be big news :laughter:

Dareus played with a bum ankle all of '10. Hope it's not the same ankle.

Maybe it was reported on Buffalo Sports Daily (very reliable sources) that the foot was amputated. Should be ready to play week 1...

Sources tell News 4 Sports Dareus was kicked in the calf during the portion of the afternoon workout that was closed to the media. He left practice early and reportedly was seen in the Bills locker room after practice walking on crutches, with his lower left leg heavily taped. Sources say the injury is not believed to be too serious, but Dareus could miss some time.

On their twitter feed, I heard his foot was not in attendance because it was stopped at the border for steroid possession.
