Guess it could have been deleted like the "so no richards" tweet.

That's going to look sweet with a Sabres logo on it.

Is that the plane, or just one like it?

Hmm, I don't know if I can believe this. Seems like too much plane for what the Sabres would need.

And are customers even receiving their Dreamliners yet? That plane was taking forever to produce and was falling behind deadline again and again. It would take years to fill a new order for one of these planes.

Sorry I don't buy it.

So it looks like it's finally ready.

As far as the Sabres go - no way :refuse:

Either the 'Fitzs Beard' is full of crap, or Jessie is playing a joke.

It is a pretty big plane.

the dreamliner seats 210-290, which means it's way bigger than the Sabres would need.

This wouldn't be the first time that a sports team had to do a lot of traveling and bought their own plane because it turned out to be cheaper, but there is no way in hell a hockey team would need one that large.

That was before he deleted a giant post about elvis' planes and a quote about the sabres goal winning stanley cup tied into it somehow...

i find this hard to believe. it would have difficulties landing at the buffalo airport, woudln't it? I thought i read when obama was here and when the chargers left for london from buffalo that landing the 747 was a bit of a challenge. i could be wrong.

Highly unlikely story.

The team costs $150 Million- I doubt he buys a brand new $130 million plane with a seating capacity 5 times bigger than what he needs to move them.

The Red Wings and Tigers- both owned by the same guy (Mike Ilitch) have (or used to have) their own plane- they shared it.

With The Wings and Tigers combining for 130-140 away games (Playoffs and preseason included) it makes sense. Oddly the Wings get more flights than the Tigers, as the Tigers usually play 3-4 games in a row in the same city.

As you can see, it's a lot smaller than the 787. The 787 is too big for an NFL team. Paul Allen uses a private plane to fly the Seahawks- but technically it's one of two 757s owned by Microsoft

the reality is...and I work for Boeing.... you can order a 787 but it won't be ready for about 3 or so years. We have so many damn orders to fill the earliest date is at least a few years out... the 1st delivery is on schedule for the end of Sept, and then we have orders for about 900 planes

Also that picture of the 787 above.. I'm about 300 yds away from where that picture was taken

we have a better chance of getting 25 F-35s before we get one 787..
