Re: d.Jones saying he is the #2 wideout
I dont know that we have a definitive #2 in this offense.I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Easley has played one good game in preseason. Remember James Hardy looked good against Washington in the preseason too. Give the guy time to develop. He's only started 11 college games and you want him to start after missing all training camp and rookie season? C'mon man.Impossible is Nothing.

Jones has teh most consistent hands so it makes sense for now.
He is also more limited in his ability to develop than Easley.COMING SOON...

Re: d.Jones saying he is the #2 wideout
Easley has #1 talent, rookie skills, and injury prone status written all over.
The guy has some natural football instincts that I haven't seen in Bills WRs since Steve Tasker. Two plays on saturday stands out. One is obvious that when he saw CB blitz, he turned to anticipate the ball instead of running his normal routes, resulting a 4 yard gain. The other play is more subtle - the play where Fitz fitted the ball into a tight window to him in the middle for a 1st down. He got pass the 1st down mark than ran parallel trying to give Fitz a lane to throw to him.
What makes me concerned about him is that he play scared when he came back from injury. In NFL you just can't have that. Let's face it, he's going to get injured when he plays regularly; all receivers do, especially #1 receivers. His smarts may be working against him here - each time he gets injured, he'll be less confident, and that's blood in the water for safeties/LBs.
