    Stevie rockin the Sabres gear
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

The addition of Merriman has helped the Bills in many different avenues. If he can produce like he did a few years ago (yes, I know you are thinking b/c of steroids) then it's going to be a steal for us. I truly thinks he likes it here and will do everything to recruit free agents to come.

Re: Merriman says "Light Out" to Stevie Johnson

Stevie posted a twitter after a bunch of these pictures were posted:

"Just and FYI we work hard and is working hard to make a change around here in buffalo..My pics are just fun and games when we are not working"

Some dumb ass fans probably threw a hissyfit that these guys have fun and aren't practicing/working out 24/7. Ridiculous that he has to clarify like that. I for one am glad to see the interaction between all of these guys on twitter.

Team chemistry is different under this regime. I won't say it's going to be the difference between winning and losing, but it is definitely different and refreshing to see the team getting a long in a way they haven't in years.

                              I will say it.

Team chemistry is the kind of thing that helps a team get over the hump. I know that everybody here thinks that we don't have talented players etc, but the truth is that every team has talented players, albeit there are players that are more talented than others.

Talented players will never be enough to win. You need players that are motivated to reach their potential. Team chemistry is the kind of thing that plays into that. That is a big reason that Whitner isn't back, I am sure of it. People will say he was no good, etc, but if you were able to get a straight answer out of the FO, it would be that he wasn't part of the team and didn't fit in the vision these guys have for the team.

The same was clear with Lynch, Poz, Evans, etc. There is a scheme that they are trying to make work, and it includes on and off the field.

I know I have hoped every year, but I really believe that, while this might not be a perfect season, it will be a drastic improvement over the teams we have seen.
