Why would you only go with 2 TE's and 3 OT's? We can't run the goalline jumbo set that way.

I think you nailed it, X. Maybe TE Martin over Pianalto, with Pianalto to PS, maybe bumping Caulcrick off PS. Eddins will be the surprise make.

Cutting Byrd and keeping Corto?

Pianalto is this years Bell - way overhyped by fans. Caussin has actually been OK.

Dotson and Caulcrick are not PS eligible

Byrd is an oversight, right? No way he gets cut.

Aiken over Roosevelt is my surprise.

Doubt that. Aiken will go to PS just like Roosevelt was last year.

We can't run the goalline jumbo set that way.

Maybe they are more concerned about kicking Field Goals than getting down to the goalline.

Why keep Thigpen. There has to be someone who can hit a receiver somewhere out there

I agree... but after a full preseason of Pigpen.. I'm liking me some Brown, even though that isn't happening

Probably keep a 3rd TE and one less LB

Keeping Corto over Byrd? What?

Byrd is an oversight, right? No way he gets cut.

Pats could use a S. Byrd and Chung could re-live their Oregon days.

I wonder if there will be OL cut from other teams to replace Howard

Aiken over Roosevelt is my surprise.

The couple practices and pre-season games I saw, he looked extremely polished in his route running and made several highlight reel catches. Love his hands and ability to battle for the ball.

I hope so... we could use a solid depth pick up over Howard.. Him a Wrotto were turnstyles last night..

I think that they used an extra guard on the outside of the line last night in the jumbo.

No Byrd at safety?

My mistake on Byrd guys... sorry.

Martin hasn't done much at TE and Chandler is the starter, why not go youth for a backup spot that isn't used that often anyways.

Eddins has played strong and with a rotation, it may make sense.

Roosevelt has looked better than Davis, Martin, or even Aiken over a longer period of time IMO.

Thigpen is tough but you have to ask yourself this... who is best equipped to be the primary backup to Fitz at QB... I can't say that it should be Smith. And keeping Smith means you save another spot at another position... plus it takes advantage of the 3rd QB being active rule. Finally, No way would I pick Levi Brown over Thigpen... especially when Brown is eligible for the PS anyways.

Why would you only go with 2 TE's and 3 OT's? We can't run the goalline jumbo set that way.I consider Howard a potential OG/OT type so I look at it like 4 OT's with Hairston as the primary backup at RT at least.

IMO Caussin makes the third TE, Eddins or Moats (or both) get IR'd or cut. Aiken has impressed me also (what little I've seen of him), but not sure he'll make the squad.

Hang may make it through the cuts, but if a decent center gets let loose from some other team he may be replaced with a waiver pick up.

So far so good, only missed on Coleman. Hit on Pianalto and Eddins... so far.
