Not even a shot at getting him to Buffalo I don't think, but what is he worth these days? Link http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/02/lance-briggs-asks-for-a-trade-again/

I'd rather look for OT. Besides since he's always looking for a new contract once he's paid up front, Ralphy would need to double his Depends supply.

Your not likely to find many good OT's this time of year. Most if not all of them are already set at key positions on good teams by now. That ship has already sailed.

I agree but he's going to ask a lot , be a problem down the road and we are stacked at that position. Bills are trying to go younger which is why they signed the vets they took to short contracts.

I'm wondering still what kind of offers the Bears might get for him. He is 30 years old. But yeah, the contract thing could be a problem, at least for the Bills. His agent is Drew Rosenhaus.

Drew actually has a very good relationship with the bills.

Jauron would probably want him playing cover 2 over at browns.

Evans for Briggs.

I love Briggs, but...

1) He is 30 and wants a new contract

2) Chicago isn't going to trade him at this point, and if they did they would want good value in return

3) Briggs has never played anything other than 4-3 OLB. Projectiing him to a 3-4 is a guess, and there is no guarantee he would be as effective a player.

Our LB crew is shaping up nicely, and we have some solid youth in there. I don't see them even considering it

Yep, your probably right on his transition to a 3-4. He wouldn't exactly be our oldest linebacker even at 30. Kelsay got a new contract from the Bills and he is 31. I don't think they view age as much of an issue as long as the player produces.
