        He can't catch a break because he's the ultimate tweener. Jack of all trades, master of none.

        You can't just be a career ST'r. You have to have some ability at your assigned position.

          I was a big Wire fan, the dude was a workout machine and tried his hardest, but when you aren't born with the ability it just doesn't work for you.

          Hope he gets picked up in the NFL, but if not, let's hope he gets some sort of job.

            Wire played a good amount in Atlanta the last few years. He was a core ST-er and played in their nickel packages, playing a hybrid S/LB role. His playing time dwindled last year in the regular defense though. The Falcons just signed James Sanders and Kelvin Hayden and are tight against the cap, so Wire became a casualty.

            He is a very good ST'er, so some time might pick him up. However, at 32 he probably is near the end.

                Wire is a very, very nice guy.

                Historian, Meathead and I dinner with him while he was still in Buffalo. He is just a down to earth normal guy, that is built like a brick **** house.
