The key will be the Bills Front 7 containing the RB Charles. Their QB has a bit of cement in his shoes and can be located with a good rush. Merriman ?

How about a 17-16 Bills win.

KC is a tough place to win. I wouldn't be surprised if we were able to (if we can stop Charles and get a good pass rush we could actually hammer them pretty good IMO), but I'm hedging my opening day bets...Chiefs 23 Bills 16.

Out of curiosity I went looking for some Chiefs forums to see what they are saying. Went to 4 different forums and only one had a Bills game thread. And half of those chumps think Trent Edwards is still our starting QB!

It was sarcasm. I went with Holmes because I thought it was more than obvious since he's been retired for a while now. Perhaps I should have included a smiley.

Well, Trent was just cut by Oakland so I guess you can say he is "retired" as well. LOL

Cassel is actually quite mobile and is more than capable of eluding pass rushers and scrambling for big yardage.

I think that is about it. Close game, but I think it being played at Arrowhead tilts it in KC's favor. If it was in Buffalo, I'd probably pick the opposite.

Prior to the reports of Cassel and Moeaki's injuries I thought for sure we'd lose. So now there's hope but in the end I don't like the idea of Charles against our D. As think we've improved our LB core I just don't see us stopping the run on the road.

I think it's going to be an ugly game, but we'll pull it out in the end. Barely beat us last season, and I think we're better on D, not sure about the offense however.

Buffalo 24 KC 13 - Cassell out or will play injured....no big TE to kill us...starting D played well against run in pre season...and our D has played well in the openers the last few years (if that means anything...lol) I think this game hopefully will be similar to the Seattle game a few years back....we'll see....

The Chiefs fumbled 10 times on Offense during the pre season, losing 5 of them, they also fumbled 2 kick offs. I hope that trend continues on Sunday.

Being on the road should affect the offense much more than the defense. I expect the defense to play like the starters did in preseason. Palko does have agood arm however so I don't think it will be a pushover even without Cassel.

My concern is a WR group that aside from Stevie & Rosco has no experience.

Evans will be missed. In spite of what a few people think.

The Bills will win this one, but the score doesn't matter. The Bills lost to the Chefs in OT in Arrowhead last year, despite having a chance to win it first, giving up 274 yards rushing, having NO pass rush (yet they still sacked Cassel 3 times), and with the Chefs having Weis, Moeaki, and a healthy Cassel. The Chefs won't be able to run it at-will like last time, which means more reliance on Cassel, which is not a good thing for them.
