2 million a year isn't too far apart to get the deal done before the offseason.

I'm guessing they're offering around 6 a year and he wants around 8.

I think there is no way the Bills offerred Stevie less than 6 mil per. So indeed Johnson camp is looking for Evan's money.

Maybe his lingering groin issue may make him re-think the whole thing. Take the money now or risk getting serious injured in contract year. For the Bills, I would think a performance based tier pay deal may be a better entice for a so-far one year wonder Stevie.

2 million is a small hill for a climber like Nix.

Just glad to hear that the season being in progress hasn't stalled negotiations. It's great that they're far enough to be exchanging numbers (SJ's case) and formal offers (Fitz).

No doubt these will get done.

I wish after 2 weeks of work I could renegotiate my salary

How funny. Earlier they were reporting how disappointed Stevie was that there had been no conversations regarding a new contract.

:shakeno: The contracts they are on did not start two weeks ago. Workers in private industry can earn raises all the time depending on the discretion of their boss.

Good advice for the talking heads, especially the ****-ups at WGR.

Seriously, guys, calm down. Freddy is already signed if you didn't know. It's possible they may look to get Mr. Jackson taken care of in the offseason after locking up Fitz, Johnson and anyone else they like. Patience.

I'm guessing they're offering around 6 a year and he wants around 8.I'd think more like 7 and 9. Not saying he's worth 9, as I said over and over I think 8 gets this done. But, his agent is probably going to start high.

$2 Million apart is not bad at all considering offers usually start low and demands usually start high, coming together on a number shouldn't be all that hard.

This morning on WGR they said it's 6 and 8...maybe his agent is sensible...Who knew?

I fully expect both to be signed to reasonable contracts... Not really concerned with this at all. Would be nice to have it done with already but that is the nature of the business

He's got a face for radio. Though to be fair at least he looks human as opposed to some of the trolls that are hiding behind sports talk mics.

I'm sure Stevie is not talking, it is his agent doing the talking.
