Shelley just got banned from preseason and 5 regular season games.. Shanahan definitely isn't ****ing around.

i really like the way he is being so forthrite with his explaining the suspensions to everyone(fans), not just the player and or orginization as it used to be. There wont be speculation about why someone get X ammount of games while someone else gets Y. I hope he will also do these announcement videos for plays that he doesnt suspend a player for, that have a similar look.RIP Tommy D!

What? The NHL using new media to explain league decisions to fans, coming directly from the person who actually made the decision?
That's an innovative and progressive strategy that appeals to fans. It goes against the NHL's longstanding policy of trailing behind the other major sports leagues and making nonsensical marketing decisions that are perplexing to fans.
Granted, this is a small issue, but at least it's a sign that maybe the NHL is finally starting to get it.Comment
