    Brad Smith

I feel as if he is being underutilized. As much as it appears that we have great WR depth, Smith is receiving threat and hasn't been used as such. Sure, I understand that Gailey wants him to be a backup QB and I don't have a problem with that, but to throw him in for just 2 marginal wildcat plays doesn't seem to be maximizing his potential.

    What do you guys think?

I would have sworn that they'd unveil his true role in this game. That they didn't have to and won is awesome!

        Re: Brad Smith

I like Smith as a change of pace but when the Bills are putting up 30+ without him every game and Fitz and Freddie having the seasons they are having, no reason to take the ball out of their hands. Later in the year if the offense starts struggling then bring him in more and use the wildcat more often.

well, the Jets just had a guy run the Wildcat against the Raiders, he FAILED. If Smith sat on the bench all year, having him on the Bills & not the Jets WEAKENS the Jets.

No need to take anyone off the field, per se. I say line him up in the backfield with Freddie or CJ (along with SJ, DJ, and SC) and give opposing defenses something to think about.

He's doing it to himself. Catch and throw the damn ball and the opportunities will present themselves.

He did line up at WR a few times today...had a dropped pass early.

He did attempt a pass, a LONG Pass at the end of the Chiefs game.

How much is a 3rd and 2 first down conversion worth? How about 10-15 of them a year? He gets those. In the past, we didn't.

If anyone's being underutilized it's Fred Jackson.

Well, today was only the 3rd game of the season. I expect he will throw the ball at some point, maybe for a winning TD.

I'm fine with how he's being utilized, though I didn't see him in today, to be honest.

Picking up first downs on 3rd and short is pretty valuable (especially when he's 100% on them).
