PFW Insider On Chan Says It All

The following quotes are from NFL scouts, coaches and front-office personnel, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

    • "(Bills head coach) Chan Gailey is awesome. He knows what he needs to make his offense work. He understands matchups. He knows how to create them. He's a very good play-caller. There's no secret why they are winning — it's in the design of his offense. He understands the strengths and weaknesses of his players. What a phenomenon, eh?"

7-4 in the last 11 games. The guy is doing a great job of winning me over.

When we 1st selected Gailey I wasn't elated nor was I a doom and gloomer like some... However it was easy to see last year that Gailey could coach.

BUT watching him and Nix put together this team, and doing so making tough unfriendly fan moves, and to get the impressive turn around we are witnessing is awesome. Couple that the fact that Chan got Belichick to have a hissy fit on the sideline was icing on the cake... Chan is our man !

I'm definitely a fan of Gailey- he knows what he's doing, at least on the offensive side of the ball.

I'm still not 100% sold on Nix, but he's starting to win me over.

Gailey is proof that it's not all talent. The bills have been the Lambda Lambda Lambda of the NFL.

His playing calling yesterday was something left to be desired, IMO.

if you can design a play from 5 yards out to have a 6 foot 7 inch TE stand all alone 3 yards deep in the endzone, chances are you know quite a bit about play design and play calling. and he did this after he sent his other TE the week prior into the endzone wide open. there was tape of this given to one of the brightest football minds in the last 25 years. and it couldn't be stopped.

Yeah, it's time to get excited about gailey's mind.

Taking 3 knees at the 1yd line was pure genius.

How does a team go 0-4, roar back to 9-6, miss the playoffs, then later start 5-1, miss the playoffs?

Mike Mularkey was a offensive mind and took this team from 0-4 to what should have been playoffs, just saying.. But this Patriots win is different. This didn't happen in '04/'08.

Yeah, I have a problem with people being wide open in the end zone too.
