    Marvin lewis has a point

On Herd today, they actually talked about comparing Bengels defense to 2000 Ravens defense when Lewis was the D Coordinator.

I looked it up. the Bengels gave up only 276 yards and 18 pts a game while making 3 sacks a game. Opponents ran only 88 yard on them and less than 3 yards a carry.

In comparison the Bills D ranked 26th gave up 387 yards a game.

Fitz better brace for some sacks this weekend. I still think the Bills will win 17 - 10

    Cleveland - Colt McCoy
    Denver - Kyle Orton
    San Francisco - Alex Smith

That's who Cincinnati has played. I'm not trying to sound arrogant here, but can anyone honestly tell me that those three offenses even compare to Buffalo's at this point?

Cincy has a good defense, that isn't in doubt. But to pretend like playing Alex Smith and San Fran is equivalent to playing Tom Brady is just absurd.

Cincy will be tough, but our O can cause all the mismatches they need against that D.

Cincy doesn't have the offense to keep up as long ad we do what we have been doing. Not many teams do.

                Denver can usually run.
                So 88 yards is impressive.

What I think is a factor in out favor is their D is over aggressive and
that really plays in our schemes hands.

Those middle screens and delay handoffs we have are perfect for countering that style of defense....

However I would scrap the wildcat component or run some trickery off of it.....have him launch bombs or something.

It is our d I am more concerned with.

Denver is not a good running team at all, actually. Last year (and their offense hasn't changed much from last year) they ran for 3.9 YPC and 96 yards per game. So 88 yards is not that impressive, not with those teams.

The 2000 Ravens couldn't survive in todays NFL...........there will never be a dominant defense in the NFL again!

their offense is just terrible though. and it wears out their own defense. if they could put points up and have some drive starts that lasted, they'd be able to maybe survive. But they don't. I really expect gailey to unleash hell on cincy.

They will start with fred seeing action straight away. if the bills score first on their first touch, cincy is going to have to try and keep up. if they fall behind by 10 in the first quarter, a bad offense will become one dimensional. and i get the sense the bills defense wants to correct the last two weeks worth of points given up.

Barring injuries, i see the bills opening a big lead early and we'll see a little bit of Thigpen by the 4th.

                      35-3 final score. buffalo.

But this is an away game and usually the home team has big advantage on defense. We'll see.

.. the NFL is cyclical it will happen again. The NFL game is a lot like paper scissors rock, as the game evolves there is always a scheme to counteract it.

Lets not get too cocky here guys.

Although isn't Benson suspended this week as well? That helps.

Yes but they usually commit to it.

Mcgayfeet ran for 101 so we might do ok.

I would say this would be a good week to test out the Blitz packages we scraped during the NE game.

A Dalton is pretty new to NFL and may work a lot better on him.

Look for Merriman and Byrd to have good games.

                              Along with Jackson and Chandler.
