Former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber and Super Bowl-winning coach Bill Cowher are among the first-year candidates eligible for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, quarterback Drew Bledsoe and offensive lineman Will Shields are among the other former players nominated for the first time.

Pretty weak class for first-time eligibles, IMO...Reed, Carter and Brown should be givens, and please for the love of the football gods put Ray Guy in where he belongs.

4 WRs won't make it in in one year when only 4-7 people get enshrined every year.

I can see Will Shields, Bill Cowher, Bill Parcells and Tags making it. They'll be 1-3 players on top of that to make it.

Cris Carter is due. Joe Jacoby is due. Curtis Martin.

Wouldn't say Reed is a lock.
