Got to give it up for the Oline

Our Oline has been beaten down with the criticism paddle long before the season has started. It was among the biggest reasons most people thought this Bills team would fail to win games this year. But after 4 games into the 2011 NFL season, few could argue that part of the success of one the highest scoring teams in the NFL is because of the excellent blocking up front for this offensive line. The Bills have the 2nd best offensive line in the NFL through 4 games. Your thoughts?

They're better than expected but Cinci had their moments against them yesterday.

Yeah, that Bengals defense was as good as advertised. It's the best defense the Bills have faced this year at number 3 overall before the start of that game. They now sit at number 1 overall. The Bills Oline wasn't spectacular, but overall still did well. If the Bills even had an average defense, they would have won that game.

They are over-hyped and their inadequacies have been masked by the play and success of the skill positions. Levitre has mostly been a stud...Wood, Urbik, Rhinehart & Pears have been average, Bell takes turns being average and bad.

Don't kid yourself, we still need a legit LT and a mauler inside.

Cincy dominated them in the second half. Fred Jackson had 8 runs for 18 yards in that half (and that's why he didn't get more for those complaining he didn't get enough), with guys in the backfield constantly. We ran way too much out of the shotgun formation (too predictable), and the Bengals shut it down after halftime.

The thing is...we should always be looking to improve. The OL isn't nearly as terrible as people have said it was, but it's not great either and can stand improvement. Not sure improvements will come in the form people are hoping for (i.e. high round draft pick), but I trust they will come.
