Wow! That should make all Bills fans nervous. Aren't they both from the old AFL?

There isn't an article yet, just a headline on nfl.com saying that it has been confirmed.

I just heard. I didn't believe it at first. It is the truth though. No more crazy old Oakland owner.

What a guy. "Track Suit, Slick back hair multi-millionare" who spit in the face of authority the entire way. Was not a huge fan of his antics myself but you have to respect a guy who stays true to himself until the very end.

                  RIP

                  Long Live the AFL!

I wonder if this means the Raiders will be able to get good again.

Al Davis was a HC in the AFL for the Raiders. To keep him, the owner at the time gave him a piece of the team. There is no other owner in the NFL that knows football like Davis did, he will be missed. Condolences to his family.

A true legend of the game, he will be missed. : ( He and Ralph Wilson have been long time friends since the days of the the old AFL. I imagine Ralph's heart is heavy over the news. We lost 2 icons in such a short period of time, Steve Jobs, and now Al Davis. I'm almost scared to ask what's next? What an awful week.

So who owns the team now? Does this make the LA move more likely?
