I was saying "we aren't going to snap the ball. Gailey sent morman out and after the timeout sent fitz in to confuse the eagles and try to get them to jump." But it never works. You never see them jump offsides on that play. Can't believe we got a vet to jump. Gailey is doing a very good job.

It's something that Gailey tries quite often tbh. He's got it to work once before, iirc, but not in such a situation.
I think the eagles were genuinely worried about a QB sneak after what Fitz did to them earlier, and that also helped.

I think it worked because there was doubt whether or not we'd snap it. I was 50/50 on if Fitz was just doing that to make the Eagles think we weren't going to snap it and then actually sneak it with a second on the play-clock.

It really wasn't unreasonable that we would run a play there - and that's why it worked.

It's why they play the game. If teams never had the QB do the hard count because it almost never works, then there wouldn't be the opportunity to have it succeed that one time in every fifty tries, or whatever the ratio is.

Seriously. Fitz had a QB sneak for 9 yards yesterday. That's the biggest gain on a sneak I've ever seen. Fitz is really good at that play.
