Bills INT's at a whole different level

Bills got 4 INT's on Brady / Vick this year, does that seem lucky to you or is there a pattern here?? We lead the NFL in that category & Brady had only 4 all last season, Vick gave up the most in his career (1 game) today.

I can see taking away a ball here & there but this can't be luck, not at this level. Luck ends or changes, we've just been consistently opportunistic. Good to be lucky & lucky to be good.

ESPN is the place for NFL stats! Find a list of the Offense Total team stat leaders for the 2023 NFL Regular Season.

You might notice the top 4 teams on that list, they have like a .875 Record.

I agree, it's not just luck. we have an opportunistic D. hands are in the air deflecting passes, that one INT/catch by Barnett was a great play. He turned around, and the ball was right there, not an easy play to make.
My faith doesn’t make me perfect, it makes me forgiven.

Our def is alot likes the saints Def that won the SB. (not saying were gonna win it cal down....(notsayingwerenot))..but They werent the BEST def but they created turnovers which led to points and the occasional def TD is such a big swing in a close game.

Teams make their own luck. Certainly there is a luck factor in the game, but almost always the better team will be the luckier team when all is said and done.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

Seems like other teams never punt. They either score or we intercept a pass. I don't see it improving this year.
On another note we should be 5-0. We've got to learn how to run the ball with the lead.

Last season it was week 10 before the first int, what a major difference. The play of the Safeties has been very good.

A lot of those were on DBs, so I'd give Catavolos credit.

The element of luck is where the ball lands, but a lot of that is caused by pressure (Moats and Sheppard yesterday), and tips (Carrington).
The Bills are causing the ball to be put up for grabs, and they're causing other teams to take chances and make mistakes. Like Tiger said, they're making their own luck.

Well, I hope they don't improve as far as that goes. I would much rather an int than a punt or field goal. The Bills have also prevented what looked like a sure score a few times with ints.

The other factor is the offense: the offense has the ability to put up a lot of points, so that forces the other team to switch to passing offense to try to catch up more quickly. That opens up a lot more opportunities, and although you can pick up a lot of yards (as the Bills' opponents have found out so well), it also means more chances for interceptions.

                          That's incredible.

I've been wondering the same thing -- is our defense, which gives up a ****-ton of yardage, lucky or opportunistic?

After the Pats win, as exciting as that was, I figured we caught a break (we were certainly due) and cashed in. Seeing it happen again (we also had a pick-6 vs. Bengals and another Defensive TD that was called back) against Philly makes you believe a bit more that this defense understands what they have to do to win ballgames, and that's force turnovers and be in the right place to take advantage when the ball is up in the air. Our hands have been great on defense, coming up with a ton of bouncing balls. It's uncanny, really.

It's called skill, not luck, and we have a bunch of guys who are not only skilled, but understand exactly how to take advantage of the opportunity when it presents itself.
