    Buffalo's schedule

    I was thinking about how the fact that our first four opponents (KC, Oakland, NE, and Cincinnati) all won this week, and was curious to see how strong our schedule currently is. Here's a quick breakdown:

    @KC (2-3) - W
    Oak (3-2) - W
    NE (4-1) - W
    @Cin (3-2) - L
    Phi (1-4) - W
    @NYG (2-3)
    Bye
    Wash (3-1)
    NYJ (2-3)
    @Dal (2-2)
    @Mia (0-4)
    @NYJ (2-3)
    Ten (3-2)
    @SD (4-1)
    Mia (0-4)
    Den (1-4)
    @NE (4-1)

    Obviously a lot of these records will change as we go on, but right now, this is looking like a very difficult schedule.

    The total record of the teams we've played so far is 13-12, but if you subtract out the games against us (1 W, 4 L), they're 12-8, which is pretty decent this year, considering the strong parity across the league as evidenced by most teams' overall records.

    I'd also like to point out that while all four teams that we've played previously won today...only 2 of the teams remaining on our schedule won this week (SD and NE, with Mia, Wash and Dal on bye weeks).

    No biggie but you have the NYJ at 3--2 not 2-3

        You're right, I was trying to do most of it from memory. I'd say their record is one that is almost certain to improve during the rest of the year.

          If the defense doesn't learn how to play a full 60 minutes, then the Bills are going to be in trouble.

              That's still a pretty imposing schedule after the bye week.

                  Great post!! If we make the playoffs with this schedule, we're doing good.

                    To be better than 10-6 I would think we'll either have to win in New Jersey on Sunday, or beat the Cowboys on the road.

                    Neither of those things are impossible, given Eli Manning and Tony Romo both have a fondness for throwing passes to opposing DBs...

                      Yeah, I though about our INT total might be near record amounts after playing those guys.

                        Next 6 games:

                        Eli Manning
                        Rex Grossman
                        Mark Sanchez x 2
                        Tony Romo
                        Whoever the hell will be playing QB for Miami.

                        There are going to be a lot of bad throws that will be ripe for the picking.

                          Re: Buffalo's schedule

                          I think they will have a difficult time in Dallas, Miami, SD and New York (Giants)

                          Not to mention we haven't won in New England since John Quincy Adams was President.

                          That's why the Cincy game was so important, IMO.

                          I don't sweat the jets, they play as undisciplined at the Ryan Eagles of the 80s.

                          We should beat Miami, Wash and Den here, and finish 9-7.

                          The lynchpin game is Tennessee. I think a win gets us a road WC. A loss there and it's hockey season.

                            Well if you look at it though there are more teams with 500 or losing records than winning....

                              Cincy was important, and an unfortunate loss.

                              Dallas worries me quite a bit, mostly because of their stout run defense. We played one decent run D (Cincy) and look what happened there.

                              I don't see us having a difficult time in Miami, to be honest. It's not a hard place to win at - Miami had an awful home record last year, something like 2-6.

                              Honestly, with the inconsistent way teams are playing this year, I wouldn't be awfully shocked if a 9-7 record got a wild card berth. JMO.
