I was thinking about how the fact that our first four opponents (KC, Oakland, NE, and Cincinnati) all won this week, and was curious to see how strong our schedule currently is. Here's a quick breakdown:
@KC (2-3) - W
Oak (3-2) - W
NE (4-1) - W
@Cin (3-2) - L
Phi (1-4) - W
@NYG (2-3)
Bye
Wash (3-1)
NYJ (2-3)
@Dal (2-2)
@Mia (0-4)
@NYJ (2-3)
Ten (3-2)
@SD (4-1)
Mia (0-4)
Den (1-4)
@NE (4-1)
Obviously a lot of these records will change as we go on, but right now, this is looking like a very difficult schedule.
The total record of the teams we've played so far is 13-12, but if you subtract out the games against us (1 W, 4 L), they're 12-8, which is pretty decent this year, considering the strong parity across the league as evidenced by most teams' overall records.
I'd also like to point out that while all four teams that we've played previously won today...only 2 of the teams remaining on our schedule won this week (SD and NE, with Mia, Wash and Dal on bye weeks).
