It is Merriman's Achilles's

Well Merriman's done nothing so far, so giving the young guys a shot can't hurt

If we had said before the season that Kelsay would be a bigger loss than Merriman, people would think we were nuts

Merriman is not part of our future core. Time to give the snaps to those who are most likely our future.

yeah Kelsay's been solid this season. Not great, but solid. He'll make one or two good plays a game, and he's not a liability on the rest of the plays. That's more than I could have said about him in the past.

Batten was one of our better pass rushers in the preseason and Moats last season. They were drafted to be pass rushers for us so now is their time to make the most of their opportunities.

Good for us in the long run. Quicker we move on from Merriman and give the young guys a shot, the better.

Batten does not look to be as exlposive as Moats and has less awareness of plays (like screens etc.) than Kelsay. So far he's underwhelmed.

Actually that one injury who worries me is Barnett who is listed questionable, though Gailey expected him to play Sunday.

Without question Barnett is the best linebacker we have this season and one of the most important defensive player we have this far. There is no player remotely capable to what he can do on this Bills roster.

Anyone who says Merriman has done nothing obviously isn't paying attention. Hopefully he's back after the bye week and/or the younger guys step up.

Batten got fined 15,000 for that hit.

i was born in 84 and remember them clearly. moats is very similar to james harrison and dareus is similar to ngata but with a speed/outside rush...:air: but as far as their importance, yes they are similar to bennett/smith

Can't believe you just compared Dareus to Nagata. Not even close....

I mean, maybe when it's all said and done. But right now it's too early to peg Dareus as a hall of famer.

I actually do think he's somewhat similar to Ngata. Obviously they're not identical or anything, but really there's no need to compare him to anyone. As long as future talents are being compared to Dareus, then that's all that matters.

I don't know about comparisons, but I do know that without Kelsay and Merriman, and most likely Williams and Barnett, Sunday will be a very difficult game.

Like our defense was stopping anyone anyway? We won without Kelsay last week. Merriman's been very quiet, although coming on better lately. Williams is a GTD and Barnett WILL play. Troup, Moats and Batten just need to step up. They're all talented enough. Don't discount the return of Terrence McGee either. We'll be fine.

And the Giants have more injuries than us anyway. But yes, it will be a tough game. A game that the Bills can win easily though!
