His achilles got strained from getting held so much.

He doesn't need his achilles to make phone calls when he recruits players anyways.

I have seen reports of hammy and achilles so I am not sure what the exact injury is.

At this point I wouldn't mind him sitting out and getting a 2 week rest. Moats and Batten should be able to fill in fine.

Merriman did say that he won't be going on IR and doesn't seem to concerned. So who knows I guess give him the week off.

No Kelsay, Merriman, and a hobbled Kyle Williams who may or may not play should be interesting week for the defense.

Will be nice to get McGee back and that bye week can't come fast enough.

I believe Troup is back this week. Moats and Batten get significant playing time.

Both teams have some injuries so it should balance out.

Said he didn't think it was long term. And injury may have come at best time really with the bye coming up. Again he is not a doctor so who knows.

At least we got McGee and Troup back. I expect to see alot of guys back after the bye.

Could you imagine if Moats and Sheppard develop into solid linebackers for us? They're so young that we could potentially solidify the D for years.

Need some other players but it would be nice to see the grow into starting roles.

Bills linebacker Shawne Merriman (Achilles) was listed as doubtful after he was limited in practice Friday. Bills coach Chan Gailey said Merriman's Achilles flared up during Thursday's practice, forcing him to miss Friday.

Why not? Moats has been seemingly more effective in what little we've seen of him.

I'm not concerned either. Dude sucks.

Merriman is washed up. Has been for years. At best IF he could ever stay healthy he will never be the player he was his first several years in the league. At least he didn't get a ton of guaranteed money.

It's amazing how fast your career and abilities can change after quitting steroids after he was caught which then lead to an injury, etc.

Some of you guys are idiots. Merriman has played very good so far.

Merriman has been eating up blocks, causing teams to go away from him, and sealing off the edge... but...

Don't cross the Moats.

I don't expect Merriman or Williams to play Sunday. Two weeks for recovery ought to help them some when we go on the road vs. the Skins. Yes, you heard right. Toronto is NOT a home game I don't care how close it is to Buffalo.

This game should be Moats coming out party for 2011. I expect big things.

I'm sure he's not 100% healthy, but he practiced and indications are that he'll play.
