Yeah I agree. Moats is more athletic than Merriman now but Lights Out is a Vet, he may not get to the QB like he used to but watch him play, he is almost never out of position and can read a play like he's on the offense.

An achilles injury is always bad news.

I think Takeo Spikes attempted to play on a bum achilles back in 2005 and blew it out soon thereafter.

This has season ending IR written all over it - at some point.

Which is a shame because I think Merriman is playing better than the stats indicate.

No. The Bills didn't give up a first round pick for Merriman. The Merriman pickup hasn't really paid off thus far, but hasn't cost the Bills anything other than money.
