    Trade deadline

Is it supposed to be 11pm tonight?

I can't imagine what else would go down. Hopefully we're in the mix for Samuals. Maybe Hillis to KC?

    4 p.m. today, I believe.

Yeah, Asante Samuel has piqued my interest, but I'm not sure it would be worth the price of a draft pick or player.

it's not going to happen. Nix has no intentions of giving up any picks and we will need to learn to win with what we have.

Agreed. When's the last time Buffalo made a trade during the season?

i could only see the bills willing to take a flyer on a back end of a rookie contract to add depth on the OL or something. I could see them trading a7 for that comfort now if they think they hvae a shot to fix that player's issues on the cheap without giving up a pick. if it works, its a great move, if it doesn't it doesn't matter.

but for the most part i don't see the bills doing anything.

I'd base this on recent history & our lack of commitment to anyone that has a higher paying contract. That all ended after the Walker OT debacle.

The last time I remember them trading for anyone was Stroud, but that was out of season

Nothing is going to happen, the NFL trade deadline is the worst when it comes to the major sports and per usual nothing ever happens. I think the Carson Palmer trade as big as it was will the only trade today.

There was an article written about this a few years back exploring why this was and I cant remember who wrote it.

It was a very good piece and basically the answer was because there are so many different positions and lines of thought behind how teams should be built its hard to find GM's who agree on values all that often.

                            Wish I recalled it now.
