Former coach gave Saints a taste of winning

NATCHITOCHES, La. -- Jim Mora, the man who introduced the New Orleans Saints to winning and then walked out on the team midway through one of its worst years, was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday night.

"It's a real honor," Mora said. "I'm very proud of what we did at the Saints. It's not easy to win eight, nine, 12 games."

Mora, accompanied by his wife Connie, was introduced by his son Jim, the defensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers. It was the third hall of fame Mora joined in the past eight months. He also was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame and the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame.
