In a move that is perhaps indicative of the health of Buffalo’s defensive interior, the Bills added a defensive tackle to their practice squad Monday signing DT Jay Ross.

Ross (6’2” 302) was released by Green Bay prior to the regular season after joining the Packers’ practice squad on Oct. 20, 2010. The East Carolina product entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with New Orleans in 2010. Ross totaled 140 tackles with 18.5 stops for a loss and 8.5 sacks in 52 games with 42 starts for the Pirates.

At 302 pounds, I'm assuming his strength belies his size enough to hold the POA.

He played at around 315 in college, I think GB was trying him out at DE.

seems like a decent mid-season practice squad pickup. Outside the fact he has bounced around some his 1st 2 years most reports paint a positive picture of the guy

why are people bringing up Troup in this discussion ???

this is a practice squad addition. Possible future depth

and Troup is still nursing a bad back.. Obviously people here have never had a back problem before

I don't think it's any secret they have concerns. They've already ruled Kyle out for 1-2 weeks and Troup hasn't been healthy all year. They have to start do something to prepare for anymore injuries.
