    Antonio Coleman signed?

Someone on 2 Bills Drive said they saw a report that the Bills have signed Coleman to the active roster off of the Giants practice squad.

Great news if its true. I just cant find a link. Anyone else hear this?

Bills signed OLB Antonio Coleman from the Giants' practice squad.Coleman has been in Bills camp for two years straight, so he's plenty familiar with George Edwards defense. He recorded 12 tackles in eight games as a rookie last season and will add depth with Shawne Merriman out for the season. Oct 25 - 4:44 PM

He should have been on the Bills' practice squad all along.

                Re: Antonio Coleman signed?

There is a long distance between the hopes the Bills had for Shawn Merriman and what Antonio Coleman can provide. They needed another body and Coleman can line up on the field and not be lost. He's got some pass rushing talent, but not great speed or athleticism.

I never understood why Coleman left. He looked good in limited opportunities.

                  Very glad he is back.

Glad he's back. He had a great camp and never should have been let go, to begin with.

What was his old number? Just wondering if it's still available.

You are absolutely right, BK. The very first thing I thought when I heard the Merriman news was "Antonio Coleman." Humpty Dumpty has been put back together again.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Well its nice to see a player back who is familiar with the system. Hopefully he can show us something.
