    Throwback Game of the Week

    http://www.profootballhof.com/histor...wback_gow.aspx

Dec. 17, 1972. The Bills ended their year with a 4-9-1 record after their 24-17 upset of the Redskins in the season finale. Washington's RB Larry Brown was nursing a minor injury. But with a playoff berth sealed, coach George Allen sat his runner which meant all Brown could do was watch as the Bills O.J. Simpson passed him to become the season's leading rusher. Buffalo was led by Simpson's 101 yards rushing and an interception by Dale Farley (the only one of his three-year NFL career) late in the game that set up fullback Jim Braxton's game-winning 3-yard touchdown run.

Plus a few little historical nuggets!
