I think you guys are jumping the gun a little with your relief. It will still be weeks before he even gets re-evaluated and tries to practice. At that point even if he feels good the problem could flare back up. It's also going to be difficult to stay in game shape over that time. So if he does come back it may not be for a while and he may not ever be 100% this season if he does. I'm hoping for the best though...

If its a bone spur it WILL flare during the game and they will have to manage it during the week and he will need surgery at the end of the season...he's a tough SOB those things hurt when you weigh over 300lbs

of course he isn't. even if he didn't play till the playoffs it would still be worth keeping him on the active roster.
