Any interest?

"Bodden thrown at 22 times this year. Allowed 12 recs, 1 TD. Has 4 PDs. Played 222 snaps for the Patriots. McCourty has allowed 35 of 52 and 4 TDs, has 3 PDs. Arrington allowed 14 of 27 with 1 TD and 1 PD, but has 4 INTs too. Basically he was the best corner on a historically bad pass defense."

I'll keep our scrubs for now.

i cant see the pats cutting him without some "other" reason... that reason may not come to light soon, but im sure its there...

similar to why the jags cut garrard... at first glance seemed because they wanted togo with the rookie, but looking back it was probably because of the back issue that prevented him from signing with another team.

If he''s healthy, we should take a serious look.

Bodden didn’t totally embrace the move to the “star” — or slot corner — position, and his lukewarm response was telling. He did it, he didn’t cause trouble, but it was clear he didn’t embrace it. When it was clear Bodden wasn’t thrilled with what he was asked to do, it may have become an issue. If Bodden was going to sit on the bench and not play in the slot, that’s a bad locker room move.

You can’t have a veteran, making a ton of money, sitting on the bench. It runs the risk he’ll complain and be a divisive force. So, Bodden was released to go to a team who may use him differently.

And now, the Patriots move on.

Cannot be much worse than our CBs.......why not sign, not claim, him for the rest of the season at a reasonable number? You can always cut him

Agreed. If another team claims him on waivers, so be it. Claiming (off Waivers) a 30-year old CB who's been sub-par this season is not worth the financial investment, IMO.

If he clears waivers and becomes a Free Agent (in which case the Patriots are responsible for his salary), sign him to a cheap deal. I think he would be great for depth and provide us with an option in case one of our top 2 CBs go down.

If McGee goes down again, this will be a serious possibility.

Aside from that, I don't see us signing him because Aaron Williams should be set to return soon anyway.

In my opinion he will be in Detroit by next Sunday. they need another corner and this guy fits there system. Chris Houston and Eric Wright have been playing well if you add Bodden to a team that desperately needs Corner help and Alphonso smith already there there secondary looks really nice. Houston, Wright, Bodden at CB and the newly acquired Chris Harris and Amari Spivey at Saftey there secondary is starting to shape up like there front 7.
