One could argue that 2 out of the 3 goals were soft last night.

We lack toughness, heart and the will to win. Too many of our guys are unwilling to get their hands dirty or their noses bloody.

Unfortunately, all of Pegula's money can't buy heart. But we could get tougher by inserting Weber in the lineup and calling up Kassian. Right now, we have far too many offensive defensemen and not enough physical defensemen, and not enough forwards that are willing to mix it up.

Long term, I'm not sure of the answer. This mix of players has little chemistry, and Lindy can't seem to build a fire under them. But it's early, and things might improve.

hate to say it but the common denominator to our issues might be Lindy.

we're being outshot almost every game by a significant margin, which tells me the play is mostly in our end and we are struggling there.

and Miller has not been very good for much of this season so far from what I can tell.

Kassian is not ready yet. He's way too raw and has shown that in Rochester.
