    Rams teach their rookies more than the game

    The Rams finished up their full-squad offseason workout program on June 12. But the rookies stuck around for two more weeks, to run and lift and hit the classroom.

    "The rookie school has gotten better and better each year since I've gotten involved with it," said Ray Ogas, the team's player programs director. "Even the veteran players who weren't involved in it say they wish they would have had something like this when they came into the league."

    For four days, the 16 Rams rookies learned about everything from legal issues and security, to diet and nutrition, financial planning and relocating. The rookies also heard about life in the NFL from veterans Adam Timmerman, Aeneas Williams and team pastor Ray Agnew, a former player.
