Re: Jackson and Nix have face to face meeting
...the Bills intend to strike deals with a pair of players that do not have a contract in place for next season. Those players include kicker Rian Lindell and right tackle Erik Pears.
Once those two contracts are finalized, the Bills will then focus on paying Jackson.YardRat Wall of Fame

And I'm basing my statement that they aren't negotiating with more than 1 or 2 at a time off of Yardrat's quoted text which says, that they want to finalize Pears and Lindell before paying attention to Jackson.Originally posted by paladin warriorRALPH is drove me nut.

Re: Jackson and Nix have face to face meeting
Originally posted by RomesI understand how its a slower process mid-season but I don't understand why they want to wait for Pears and Lindell.

What's more important right now? Renewing a player that is already signed through 2012, or getting a couple delas done that, if they don't get done, might leave the team with a hole at OL and K?
Jackson doesn't sound like he's worried about it, so I'm not either, for the time being.

Re: Jackson and Nix have face to face meeting
Originally posted by BLeonardThe obvious answer to me would be the fact that Jackson is under contract for 2012, while Pears and Lindell are not.

Or is Jackson's deal going to be so big that they need their undivided attention on that?Originally posted by paladin warriorRALPH is drove me nut.

Re: Jackson and Nix have face to face meeting
Overdorf is the brick wall between Fred & his next contract. He ordered the axing of Evans to recoup the expected gate losses in the upcoming Dec. games.
Does anyone actually believe Nix is the problem ? Seriously ?Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit
