The Big Apple Beckons

For the second time in a week a popular veteran of NFL Europe has found a new home in the NFL for 2003 Training Camp that starts later this month.

The 2003 NFL Europe National Offensive Player of the Year WR Carlos Rosado is heading to the Big Apple of New York after agreeing to contract terms with the defending AFC East Champion New York Jets.

Rosado, a 6-1, 172-pound wideout, joins the Jets following his most productive season in NFL Europe. The receiver who joined the Amsterdam Admirals for the 2003 season after playing the first five years for the F.C. Receivers coach a good catch for Jets

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Mike Canales cuts a youthful profile - in fact, he bears a resemblance to a young quarterback in the '60s by the name of Roman Gabriel. But make no mistake, Canales has been around the block and through the mill.

That's what makes him arguably the most important fresh arrival on the Jets' staff this off-season.
