His second option was setting up a bed and microwave oven at the Jaguars' training facility.
Although others laughed, he wondered why he should look anywhere else. Leftwich didn't head to Jacksonville looking for a home. He went expecting a long career.
NFL training camps open next month, but Leftwich already has worn a path from his new apartment to the Jaguars' offices, showing up each day this summer to see what he can absorb.
He didn't care who was on vacation, as long as he wasn't.
