Shanaban strikes Sabres again! no suspension but fine

NEW YORK -- Buffalo Sabres forward Patrick Kaleta has been fined $2,500, the maximum
allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for high sticking
    Phoenix Coyotes defenseman Derek
    Morris
in NHL Game No. 276 Saturday night in Buffalo, the National
Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 17:55 of the second period. Kaleta was assessed a
minor penalty for high sticking on the play.

Eh, he's like Sean Avery or Zdeno Chara. You love the guy if he's on your team, but he's a punk ***** if he's on the other team.

I do think Kaleta gets away with leaving his feet a lot, but it more or less balances out because he does get some BS reputation penalties called against him too. Also, other teams get pissed at him for every hit, no matter how clean it is, because of his reputation, so he always has to stand up for himself.

Chara pile drived a guy into the side glass and got nothing but "he's a clean player when he's not being dirty." and walked scott free. Kaleta has gotten 4 games for a head butt and $2500 in fees for a high stick. that doesn't sound fair to me.
