I'm not saying your wrong. I don't think he's any good either. But, I don't think it's happening regardless of how bad things get. Gailey is going to defend Edwards every step of the way. JMO

The guy always has his players playing out of their positions. Aside from JOHNSON, I hate seeing SCOTT playing LB and he really needs to get DAREUS out of the NT spot where's it's way too easy to double team him. Fire GEORGE EDWARDS, ASAP. :chair:

You would think they could get a rush with the blitz on occasion, but they even fail at that.

I hate to say it because I've been an outspoken critic of Edwards for a long time, but yesterday was probably the best defensive game plan that we've had all season (how sad is that?) and the execution was pretty good until the dumbass threw out the book and starting sending safeties and corners on the blitz on the last drive.

I actually saw some twists and over/unders along the defensive line. What a shock!
The cover 2 man/zone under blend was keeping the receivers in check, except for the occasional breakdown.
The players were in position to make plays, and they did.
The run D wasn't dominant, but we weren't getting consistently gashed either.

That being said, he's been in over his head for the vast majority of 27 games now, and he really has no business running a defense at this level. Replacing Edwards should be the #1 priority this off season.

While I greatly admired what he was able to get out of The Bills last year & was ecstatic over the job that he appeared to bedoing the first several weeks of this season, I'm begining to think that maybe ol'Chan's job shouldn't be so safe at the end of this season should this freefall continue & he only gets another win or even two out of the team.
Sure, he's had to deal with an incredible amount of injuries to the roster, he has to be held accountable. Especially since his hire has consistantly put one of the worst defenses on the field week after week ( with the KC & Wash. games being HUGE anomalies ).
But of course, we all know that the front office will keep Gaily on for a third season no matter what. With only the canning of Nix resulting in any danger to Chan's job. And that's HIGHLY unlikely.

Once again, as long as Wilson is the owner, we'll be stuck with mediocrity at best.

Firing him this year would be ******ed, yes. Buddy and Chan said 3 years, we can give them that, when we have almost all of our young players getting good experience and playing well. We get one decently healthy season with this regime and can cultivate thdepth, we have a winner.
