Is Fitz going to get any blame for missing a wide open Stevie in the end zone? He threw it high and wide over the wrong shoulder on 2nd down. I'm not talking about the last play of the game. I didn't get to see a replay of the very last play of the game but Fitz might have missed that throw also.

I think Fitz played very well, he worked the pocket like Paul Reubens at a porno flick.

I dont think any of the blame falls on him in this one.

So missing a wide open Stevie in the end zone doesn't count?

He was running for his life during that play. It's not like he was standing in the pocket and missed. I don't think he deserves any blame at all. He was running one way and throwing back across. Not much you can do there. I don't think anyone is to blame on that play.

An NFL QB should make that play. That is why is making 10 million a year. Sanchez hit his WR on the run for a TD.

It's totally different. Sanchez and his WR were running the same direction. Stevie and Fitz were running in opposite directions. There aren't a lot of NFL QBs who could make that throw.

He should have made the throw. He's far from the only one deserving of some blame. The bills beat themselves with little things. Coaching, dumb mistakes, dropped passes.

Sanchez also threw INTs yesterday. FEW QBs make a great play every play of the game.

So we shouldn't expect Fitz to make a great play EVER? Got it! Should have told me that before he was signed.

3 Tds and 0 Ints isn't great?

Yeah while we are burning Stevie's house down lets flip over Fitz's car on the way.!!! Lets get em!!!

Fitz played WELL yesterday. To expect him to make EVERY play is to expect play like Brady, Manning, Rogers & Brees. It would have meant he would have cost DOUBLE what he did to sign if he could play like that.

Fitz played well. With that being said, his deep balls still needs a lot of improvement . Anything over 20 yards and I'm worried.

Stevie played great yesterday also but he is getting torched for 1 dropped ball. He isn't the only reason this team lost.

Fitz did ok with what he had. Can't complain too much when he doesn't turn it over, especially against that defense on the road. But his biggest play was him getting bailed out by Brad Smith, and I was pretty disappointed in that 3-and-out near the end of the half.

Fitz always makes some errant throws.

What's maddening is when he throws several perfect passes to his receivers at critical times, they drop them and that just magnifies his earlier misses.

Fitz is the reason this game was close, he was near masterful.

Stevie got his hands on that ball. Yes, it was behind him, but I was always taught even at the pee-wee level "if you can get your hands on it, you can catch it." Once Stevie put his hands on it, it was all on him.

Sure, Fitz sucks. He can't throw deep. He can't throw short. He can't throw sideways. It's all his fault the game was lost. They should have drafted Cam Newton or given Chad Pennington another shot. There, is that what you want to hear?

Seriously, get off the guy's back. The defense and there inability stop ANYONE when they need to is what lost the game.

This is getting sad on this board...Stevie lights up Revis compared to the rest of the NFL WR's that have faced him this year...Fitz has a great game with 3 TD's and 0 INT's behind a piecemeal line and no NFL leading rusher and a rag tag group of WR's behind Stevie and a couple jokers on here just want to ***** about the two shinning spots on this team that are keeping us in the show. You take the good with the bad and hope there is more good!

The problem was the three games before this loss to the Jets where our defense pitifully performed a perfect rendition of a spaghetti strainer! We are what we are at this point in the season and unfortunately we are facing year 11 of NO Playoffs. Love it or leave 'em! Can't wait for free agency in March...

yeah with his receiver standing all alone in the endzone.... not trying to run away from 2 defenders, one of which is considered by many the best CB in the NFL.

With a QB running to the right and a receiver running to the left 30 yards away, that would have been a $20 million play.

That one pass would have earned him his 11 million dollar signing bonus this year. Too bad his noodle arm wasn't strong enough.

Fitzpatrick had a solid game, but missed having an amazing game with those last two passes. Same as Stevie, I suppose.

I don't blame him though. With a good defense, the Bills are talking playoffs right now.

Yeah if we're going to blame Fitz, blame him for the high throw on the final play.

And while you're at it, blame the other 10 guys on the field too..missed blocks, dropped passes, penalties....blame those other 11 guys that run out onto the field too..you remember those guys, the ones that miss tackles, blow coverage, get penalized.....oh wait, there's also the skinny guys that kick, muff kick-offs....things of that sort....

...can we all say team sport?

Maybe Fitz isn't a HOF QB, but several teams don't have one and they manage a win or two ( see Tebow...However, also see Von Miller and Denver defense )

Placing all the blame, or a majority of it on Fitz just doesn't ring...,maybe when he has a bad game blame him for that, but a majority of the time it's been a group effort failure.

Stevie could have ran a better route and did a better job of adjusting on the one in the ednzone.

if you want to blame Fitz for any throw, it should be the last one of the day when he overthrew Stevie. If that ball was 3 ft lower, Stevie beats Leonhard.

Oh I totally agree. My point was, it's odd to focus on the harder play.
