Does this mean Rogers is out of the running to buy the Bills when RW dies?

They were never in the running because corporations cannot own an NFL franchise.

That's right. Ted Rogers could have bought the team, but he's dead now.

However, this sale gives Larry Tanenbaum (former Leafs owner) a good hunk of cash and enough money to buy the Bills if he wanted to. Tanenbaum was working with Rogers on the Toronto series. If anything, this fuels even more speculation about the possibility of the Bills moving to Toronto.

Tanenbaum is not worth 1 billion$. Which is what it will take to buy this team and move it.

Who cares? Means nothing. If they want to be scumbags and steal the Bills to toronto do it already

1) He could get the team for as little as $700 million, especially if the stadium lease doesn't get renewed. 2) I'm sure he'll have partners (Paul Godfrey, Ted Rogers III, David Thomson, etc.) that could buy minority stakes.

Steal? 24,000 tickets still available for the Broncos game. It'd be like taking candy from a baby.
