Imagine if the ST's established outside contain on the fake punt and stopped Weddle on fourth down, taking over possession on or inside the Chargers 30 after closing to 16-10.

There are many things in every game you can look back at and say "what if"

The truth is we got our asses handed to us and were only in the game for a couple minutes after Rivers fumbled the ball on his own which gave us our only TD.

Even if the fake punt wouldn't have worked we still would've lost. Our defense still had a chance to hold them without any points but couldn't.

Our offense couldn't even score a lousy TD. It probably would've lead to a FG but even if it did lead to a TD and we had taken the lead our defense couldn't stop them anyway and our offense couldn't do anything outside of a couple drives where they were actually in scoring position. This is a pathetic team right now.

This defense can't stop anyone right now. I'd love to pull up the thread from before the season started where I was debating a large amount of people who was sure our defense would be at least a Top 15 defense just because of Dareus, Williams, Sheppard, another year in the system and our rookies from last year being another year older. It's the same on talking points every year from mostly the same people. This defense is even worse then last year. Probably the worse defense in the league.
