Sabres @ Penguins GDT - 12-17-11

17 minutes into the 2nd period - the only word to describe this one so far is

In the 30 seconds of game time it took me to start this topic, the Penguins scored again - now it's 6-1 at the end of the 2nd. Brutal!

Blow up the "old" Rochester core... everyone but Vanek/Poms

I'm starting to believe in the fire Lindy bangwagon now, too.

The Sabres don't even look like they're in the same league as the Penguins. The Penguins are sitting back a bit this period with a 5 goal lead, but the Penguins dominated the first two periods. And of course Fleury is a better goalie than Miller at this juncture.

The Sabres started to come alive, and scored a couple goals while Penguins were in 'prevent' mode. However, as soon as that happened, Pittsburgh dialed it up again and scored two goals very quickly to make it 8-3.

Why do I have the feeling that Pittsburgh could make this 15-3 if they really wanted to go 'all out' for the full 60 minutes?
