It's just taking the Bills longer to bottom out than most.

The REAL rebuilding will come this offseason. Be patient.

This contradicts your first post. How are we going to rebuild now if the GM doesn't know what he's doing?

Buffalo Bills, bottoming out since 1999.

The problem is the Bills aren't bottoming out. There in a constant state of rebuilding. Like the old "Fish or Cut Bait" joke. . As we're bad enough to not make the playoffs but we're good enough to not acquire top 5 picks in the draft year after year to get key elements in place. Toss in we can't seem to seem to unearth/develop late round guys to better than average players with the exception of Stevie Johnson who we'll likely let walk in free agency.

Well, they were bad enough last season to pick third overall. How much worse can they get?

I won't complain too much about our draft last year as appears Dareus, Williams and Shepperd might be contributors that we need. Then again this preseason it looked like Carrington and Troupe might have filled in some needs but appears they haven't.

At this place we'll be kicking ass and winning championships around 2030 or so.

Over the past decade we have had a 3rd and 4th round draft pick and the rest of them have been in the Top 10 or so. Not being high enough in the draft is no excuse. Them are definitely high enough picks to find many good players with. Also there is more then one round to find good players in. There has also been 2 or 3 years when we had another 1st round pick later in the draft.

When you have as many 1st round busts and the inability to find many good players in the 2nd or 3rd round either that's all on the front office who are drafting the players and the coaches who are supposed to be grooming them. It all starts up top.

The Steelers and other teams draft in the bottom 5 of the 1st round or so every season and yet they can always find a good player in the 1st round to help their team. Not to mention players after the first round too.

Well, obviously, ol' man Wilson is willing to spend a LOT more on his health care than he is on his football team, so it just may take that long before he's gone & there's a new owner in place who will make turning The Bills into a winning franchise a top priority.

Exactly. Throughout this drought with no playoffs, we have only drafted Top 5 twice.
